In Community In Conversation In Collaboration
Do you want to reconnect with who you are while connecting with other moms?
Are you interested in wisdom for self-renewal and wise parenting?
Would you like a safe and nurturing place to share both the gifts and challenges of motherhood?
It takes a village to raise a child AND stay healthy and balanced yourself! Mother’s Morning In is a monthly gathering to help moms find the connection, care, and guidance we crave to stay true to our own needs and desires, while caring for our little ones. Each month, we will have time to share the joys and struggles of being a mom, then engage in dialogue about a topic related to self-care and wise parenting. Come enjoy some kid-free time to nourish yourself, connect with other women, and receive support, encouragement and wisdom to be your amazing mom self.

More about Godly Play® and Christen Erskine
You are invited to have your children introduced to the Godly Play® process as you care for yourself. In an environment prepared especially for them, young children are introduced to the stories of the Christian faith and invited to respond through work. Along with stories of our faith, Montessori practical life materials are introduced encouraging good stewardship. Children have an opportunity to learn to properly care for themselves and their environment. Our goal with our youngest Godly Play participants is to develop a sense of belonging while encouraging independence and individual responsibility as each child’s relationship with our Creator is honored and nurtured. To express interest, please email your child’s name and age to Kimberly when you sign up for Moms Morning In.
Sessions will be facilitated by Christen Erskine, Director for Formation for Children and Youth at St. Bartholomew’s and a Godly Play Foundation Trainer. Christen has a certificate in the Spiritual Guidance of Children from the General Theological Seminary in New York. She has over twenty years of experience in Christian Education. She has survived the initial trials of parenting in early childhood and is in the depths of parenting an amazing teenage son who is a junior at Decatur High School.
